Hoax?[edit]

I suspect this article may be a hoax. For one of the "top ten" surgeons, it is strange that the only relevant Google hits appear to derive from this article. Arkady Renkov (talk) 16:57, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A Google book search indicates that a doctor of this name existed, and that he graduated from Harvard ([1]). I can find only passing mention though. I can not tell if he is "notable". The only assertion of notability in the article is the very odd "top ten" comment. Wasted Oompa-Loompa (talk) 16:43, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I now see that you are concerned with the articles created by User talk:GoldsboroughRavenshaw. I think you may be on to something. Charles I. McColough is an easier article to pull apart with all the claims it makes, unlike this one where only one ambiguous claim is made. Wasted Oompa-Loompa (talk) 16:53, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Possible sources: Hospital Management, Volume 65, Crain Publishing Company, 1948 and New York State Journal of Medicine, Medical Society of the State of New York, 1948 - found via Google Books, but only show snippet views. Peter James (talk) 23:37, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
