"...never felt particularly Jewish"

[edit]

The page presently includes the line: "Although Weil came from an orthodox Jewish family, he never felt particularly Jewish" (per 209.6.184.156 at 05:32 on July 26, 2005) No citation is provided to indicate that this expression of his "feelings" is his own. Is it rather the case that Weil was unaffiliated with the Jewish community and there were overt indications of his having disassociating himself from his Jewish identity or otherwise considered himself assimilated or secular? This is a pertinent point requiring clarification. -- Deborahjay (talk) 07:17, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
