Never lost a game in high school?

[edit]

It's true that Tubbs never lost a game at OU, but the sources appear to conflict on whether he lost games in high school. Compare [1] with [2] (ESPN says he lost 3 games in high school). --Arxiloxos (talk) 01:45, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Date of death?

[edit]

Every media source I've read that give a date invariably lists Tubbs' date of death as June 15. The editor who insists on listing the date as June 13 needs to come up with a definite citation to support that date. Fgoodwin (talk) 00:08, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The OK papers reported date of death as the 14th. ESPN reported the date as the 15th. You can pick one of those or check the Dallas County records. The family states the date of June 13. We made no statement to the press at the time. Someone erroneously told the Oklahama papers the day they heard it and gave the wrong date. I'm not sure why ESPN picked the 15th out of a hat. Check the Dallas papers and Cowboy blog that week. Their reporting says he "died this week" since they had the good sense not to write a date someone just told them and they couldn't check.
