Merger proposal

Many of these Baywatch characters have little or no third person sources such as Mitch Buchannon and CJ Parker and should be merged.Dwanyewest (talk) 02:32, 3 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I chimed in at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Fictional characters but I figured I should put my comments here instead. I'd actually say those are the only two characters (Mitch Buchannon and CJ Parker) that do warrant their own pages. As someone who never watched a single episode of Baywatch, those are the only two I've heard of, which suggests they might have more notability than the others. That being said, most of the other characters I'd say could be merged, though I would suggested merging all those characters pages and Cast of Baywatch into a new page called Characters of Baywatch. The cast page is basically a list of actors. A new characters page could serve dual purposes of listing the cast and including info about the characters that don't warrant their own pages. — Hun ter Ka hn 17:40, 3 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I too think that this article, and most of the articles in Category:Baywatch characters could be merged into a new article (a more proper title would be List of Baywatch characters). These characters might not be notable on their own, but the information in these stubs is worth preserving in a list article. Fortdj33 (talk) 15:23, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Why the hell have these been merged. I put hours of editing work into updating these profiles to make them seem like proper character Bios and then someone comes along and poorly merges them into a page full of random all over the place text.....What is the point of having pages to legitimately edit if they just get removed?? 151.229.130.175 (talk) 18:50, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Why Shauni McClain and the Rest?

Shauni McClain, CJ Parker I believe should be merged Shauni McClain it was merged then unseparated again. It has no sources to assert its notability and consists of plot summary. Dwanyewest (talk) 20:32, 7 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Persistent content removal

I've partially blocked User:2A00:23C5:DB6E:1901:0:0:0:0/64 for repeatedly blanking content without explanation. This talk page is still available to discuss concerns with the article.-- Ponyo^{bons mots} 22:09, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This particular vandal uses several different alts to do it, has not explained their issue with that sentence (which is just noting one of the show's continuity errors with Hobie's age) so I'm going to keep restoring it every time until we can get more explanation.
