Did you know... that the light cruiser Oyodo of the Imperial Japanese Navy was Admiral Jisaburo Ozawa's flagship after the aircraft carrier Zuikaku was sunk during WWII's Battle of Leyte Gulf?

General comments:

The lead says the ship was obsolete on completion, but this doesn't appear to be explained in the body
Watch ENGVAR - I see "draught" and "metre" vs. "armor" and later "meter"
Link aircraft carrier, Tokyo Bay, Chiyoda
Watch unit designations - Third Fleet vs. 1st Fleet - also, when did Oyodo move between the fleets?
"reversed course at 23:30 and head for Amami Ōshima" -> "and headed for..."
Convert 250lb

The scrapping photo is probably actually a USN photo - compare to this and this - not a big deal, just noticed those in the NHHC collection

- Thanks for these, I completely forgot to check the images. I did have to swap out the scrapping photo as the photograph date of '48 falls outside the allowable range for the old-japan-photo license of '47. I'll flesh out the photos if I decide to take it to ACR, but for now I don't want to take the time to get these uploaded properly. Thanks for the thorough reading that caught all the small mistakes.
