Slight NPOV
[edit]The text needs to be slightly NPOVized. It really, really glorifies Ivo Pilar, but does not mention the controversial things he had claimed, which do not make him quite an angel. ;) --PaxEquilibrium 00:04, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- Lowered the assessment from C to Start class: barely referenced, POVish. GregorB (talk) 18:44, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
Article should be removed or rewritten
[edit]This article should be removed or rewritten completely. It's rather like a pamphlet of blatant ethno-nationalistic propaganda instead article of encyclopedia. Article has multiple issues, from NPOV to simple fact that does not meet Wikipedia's notability guideline for biographies. --Santasa99 (talk) 05:43, 15 March 2013 (UTC)
- This person's notability is glaringly obvious from a simple search such as http://www.google.com/search?lr=lang_en&tbo=p&tbm=bks&q=%22Ivo+Pilar%22&pws=0 Maybe you should think about not letting your own personal biases affect your reading of the policies. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 10:31, 15 March 2013 (UTC)

Pilar's death
[edit]The entire write-up on Pilar's supposedly "suspicious" death is POV nonsense, IMHO.
"The press in Belgrade claimed it was a suicide" - why does it matter what press in Belgrade said? Pilar died in Zagreb - what did the press in Zagreb say? Well, in all likelihood it said the same, but why miss the opportunity to POV-frame the story?
"Open window of his apartment" - unheard of.
"The fact that Pilar never owned a weapon" - well, either Pilar never owned a weapon (ergo, was actually murdered), or he actually did own a weapon, so this "fact" is not a fact after all. A nice example of begging the question.
"That he was killed by Serbian secret agents like other Croatian patriots such as Milan Šufflay in 1931". Šufflay was ambushed in the street and killed with a hammer. What exactly is similar in these two cases? GregorB (talk) 11:29, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
