Importance dispute

[edit]

Supposedly about 2000 Ioway were killed in a single day about 1820 near the site of Iowaville, which was founded about two decades later. If true, this may be the largest number ever killed using stone-age weapons in a single battle in North America. How then, is Iowaville a low importance site?

The above comment was added on April 16, 2011 by an IP editor 24.94.113.243 who also deleted the {{WikiProject Iowa}} template. I am reinstated the template as it was, and ask if the IP editor returns would they provide proper references and add the information to the main article. Please do not delete the template. The importance designation can be raised (or lowered) on an article if the information in the article material justifies the change. As it happens the importance was already up-graded from ??? (unknown importance) to low with the existing article information.
