Proposed to be deleted[edit]

Hi, I will state why I feel that it's notable to keep the article. He might have a short life, dying at 29. He died as a pioneer, if his attempt to break the record would have succeed, it would had been just a record. the two took off from Le Bourget airport towards Bucharest to achieve a speed record. The idea is that if we keep our people in obscurity, not showing what they died for, and that they did a great thing, we fail to show who we are. He is an important person to his place. This picture says many. If those people are proud of him, why shouldn't we be, we Wikipedia. He should be important for Romania too. His story appears in several articles in Romanian over the Internet, also in many old newspaper, and there is also a book about Romanian Aviation, where he is mentioned. I can't bring all resources here yet, as I am not in possession of them. I am sure you will understand. Check also the confirmation that he has a memorial stone: [1]. I would call more than two people (Biruitorul and TudorTulok) to debate on this deletion.

The {{subst:proposed deletion notify|Ion Stoica (aviator)|concern=Fairly obscure figure, with no in-depth coverage establishing notability.}} is missing from my talk page. TudorTulok (talk) 12:30, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
