Assessment[edit]

I am assessing this article after a request. Good work! Quite a strong "Start" article with a variety of references used while giving a variety of information on the school. For improvement, I would suggest adding more information on the school curriculum (what the school teaches and how), school campus, and awards and alumni if there are any. I am giving this low importance for now, school does seem to have some notable features but not quite enough for mid importance. Camaron1 | Chris 14:38, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Travel experiences section[edit]

(Full disclosure: I have a previous affiliation to the subject of this article.) As far as the removed section regarding the grade-level travel experiences, I believe that the inclusion of said material is encyclopedic, given that they are part of the school's mission statement. Several sources, such as article #1 and article #2, published by Edutopia, seem to do a good job indicating that the these experiences are an integral part of the school's curriculum. Granted these are primary sources, written by others with connections to the school, but certainly there are other mentions (such as this one, paragraph 3; perhaps not the most substantive but it is a mention) about the travel experiences which would be useful for sourcing that section. In the interest of consensus, I will not readd the material, but I feel that the removal by User:66.168.247.159 with the edit summary "*puff*" and a mere assertion that these are not encyclopedic needs other sets of eyes. --Kinu t/c 20:59, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • I appreciated the full disclosure, first of all. You do not need to devalue my edit summaries in order to make your point--that the existing text was puffy is, I believe, evident to anyone not associated with the school. I'm just a passing IP, and I have no business with this school. If you or someone else can add some decent sources, and if any of those sources pass muster with WP:RS, and if the language can be toned down (it was on the wrong side of the borderline of neutrality), then it's a different story. Still, I'm kind of wondering. My kid is going to the Pumpkin Patch tomorrow. Education is part of the school curriculum. I went on a high school trip to the European Parliament. See where I'm getting at? Happy days, 66.168.247.159 (talk) 21:43, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
