Talk:Information communications technologies

I am frustrated by the continuing redirection of "information communications technologies" to "information technology" in Wikipedia.

An Electronics Engineer by training, an Information Technology Consultant for many years, and currently an ICT for Development Consultant now, I am very aware of the difference between ICT and IT.

Wikipedia is not doing itself any service by merging the two as this is not an accurate representation of either term.

I welcome (as noted before in Wikipedia) a discussion on the reasons behind why I am advocating a separation between ICT and IT. Please can we do this instead of blindly redirecting and reinforcing an incorrect and vastly inacurate status quo?
