Edits to Vetting and Barring Scheme Section

[edit]

Apologies, I forgot to add comment on my change of 21:16, September 16, 2009, to the Vetting and Barring Scheme section. I thought the tone did not display a neutral point of view as all the sources quoted were highly critical of the Scheme. The changes I have made are to reference the source material and the legal basis. I would be interested to hear others views. Perhaps adding a critism of the ISA/VBS section? Exemptions from ISA registration

Would be interested to see anyone else's contribution to this topic, since it has flared up in the media recently. The information I've submitted comes from the e-book Tutoring: The Complete Guide

I am a bit uncomfortable with your use of a quote from a DCSF civil servant. Current convention under the FOI and the DPA is not to individually name any civil servants below the Senior Civil Service, i.e. only Grade 5s and above should be named. However, as the policy has been publicly confirmed in the Formal response to the 2007/08 consultation, I have changed it from the specific to the general although I have retained tutors as an example. Hope this does not change the orginal meaning Tybers (talk) 22:55, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
