Episode 3 Reward: Bullet Train[edit]

I wonder if it would be worth pointing out that there was an error when the reward for Episode 3 was announced. It was indicated that the Red Robots would be traveling "first class" via the bullet train. However, when the team is shown on the train, they are sitting in seats of three between the window and the aisle. This is inconsistent with a first class carriage on the Japanese bullet train, where the seating arrangements are 2 x 2 (2 seats on both sides of the aisle). In comparison, the seating arrangement in standard class (equivalent to economy seating) is 2 x 3.

In addition, based on my understanding of the bullet train system, the team appeared to be boarding Car 7 of a Yamabiko bullet train service out of Ueno Station. Car 7 for the type of train that was used is a standard class car.

Of course, for the team that was rewarded, it sure felt like first class when they had the opportunity to ride the pride of the Japanese transit system. But I believe, for Wikipedia purposes, that the record should be set straight.

It could be that they just used that train for filming purposes and maybe the team actually did get to ride first class outside of filming. We should see if there's any other evidence that they didn't actually get the prize they were supposed to get. PeRiDoTs13 (talk) 04:14, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Domestic Engineer[edit]

I appreciate the argument of "domestic engineer" versus housewife, but the show called Cathy a "soccer mom" in all of their promotional material and the on-screen splashes, so that is how she should be labelled here. Agalbraith (talk) 13:07, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A Majide Challenge Removed From the Finale?[edit]

Since I am not sure if anyone has picked up on this yet, I thought it was worth mentioning that the preview for Episode 8 (which originally did not indicate that the episode was the finale) previewed an unseen game where the contestants dressed up in clown suits and squirted a smelly fluid at each other. I'm aware that more content was squeezed into the finale so that the season would end earlier but, just for the sake of knowledge, I think I know at what point the game would have been played if it wasn't removed from the finale. The preview showed that all 5 contestants were still present during this challenge so I would assume it took place before "Dude, Where's my Luggage?" (since the latter game was the elimination game). It's worth noting that there was no change to the style of game progression until there were only four contestants left, so in other words there's nothing special about the top 5. It's also worth noting that episode previews for the show usually show the games that will be played in the order that they're played in the episode.

So then it makes me wonder why they gave Brent the carrot suit on the second game since a one contestant difference never resulted in a disadvantage being placed on the larger team. I think it's entirely possible that the Green Tigers lost this "clown-spraying" game so the carrot suit was actually the disadvantage for the second game rather than a device used to make things "fair". It's possible that the editing of what Rome Kanda said was just done really well so that it seemed that the purpose for the suit was to balance things out (though I have no proof to back up that claim). Anyway, I think there should be an indication somewhere in the article (like on the paragraph for the games played during the finale) indicating that footage of this game was removed in the final edit of the season finale. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.4.139.178 (talk) 22:33, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Channel 7 Two in Australia is just wrapping up the broadcast of season 2, and there are 10 episodes in it. Episode 8 contained "Smelly Fish Face!", which is the squirting clown one (in which the red team won, and both teams were dry retching), as well as "Dude! Where's My Luggage?" and "Balloon Assassin!". Episode 9 contained "Hug Me 'Til I Pop!", where contestants dress up in bee costumes and have to use their stingers to pop balloons between each other in a thrusting groin-to-butt embrace (red team won). It also showed "You Stand Still! No, You Stand Still!" and "T-Shirt of Torture!". Episode 10 is screening later today. I haven't really been following the show, but I'll try to get around to posting more details if I can.118.210.19.136 (talk) 23:12, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
