if someone can correct my grammer and get more info about the hunza people from this website or other it will be well apraticated.

Barry -- no problem, the {unreferenced} and {copy-edit} tags that I put at the top of the page will make sure that eventually somebody will come along and fix it. Thanks for the contribution! :) --Jaysweet 20:45, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I gave editing a shot. This is my first major editing job, so please yell at me, etc. if I do something wrong. I have some questions on the article's content:

  • I didn't change the statement, "It is common for these people to live up to 120 years of age or more, in good health throughout their lives" durastically. Should it read more like, "It is common for these people to live up to 120 years of age or more if in good health throughout their lives," or "It is common for these people to live up to 120 years of age or more, and typically remain in good health throughout their lives."?
  • What governing body outlaws pesticide use?

Thanks, all. --Amanaplanacanalpanama 07:00, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is utterly stupid as this article is accurate and can be confirmed from many diffrent sources through a simple google. http://www.amazon.com/Longevity-secrets-unsurpassed-longevity-nutrition/dp/0943685230 24.90.163.84 01:03, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

remove false claims

[edit]

can we remove false claims for 150-160 years of age. the scientific record for maximum age is about 123 years. even wikipedia mentions that. until 150 years is not vindicated, i think we can remove it. nids 11:05, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

sure but use info from the hunza link

wheres the hunza link???nids 21:04, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

here is one http://www.hunza.20m.com/

this link says The Hunzas exist isolated from the rest of the world in the Himalayan Mountains where they live to be 110 to 120 years of age. nowhere it is written for 150 years.nids 10:07, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

oh well i saw a vid on google saying that "when they first discovered them they claimed 150-160 but they gave them stool hardener becasue they thought wow there are healty but thier stool is too lose and soft that cut thier life down to 90 years average" but idk how factual that video was you may disregard that 150 -160 year thing if you want

Ethnic group?

[edit]

I won't go into the two articles' poor shape, but are Hunza and Burusho considered distinct ethnicities, or is Hunza merely a name for those Burusho who inhabit the valley of the same name? The articles don't say anything about this, so I've added merger templates – please remove them as you see fit. Wikipeditor 00:21, 19 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am fine with the merger i allow people to edit this article as they see fit to make it better.Barry White 21:12, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
