Strategy[edit]

Is there any evidence that anyone on the show has ever actually used or discussed that strategy? While it's obviously a good strategy, very few players I've ever seen use complex strategy on this show... -- stillnotelf has a talk page 06:26, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that it generally doesn't get used by contestants, but I'm not really sure I see how that's relevent. TPIRFanSteve 08:13, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it seems a little iffy to me under Wikipedia:verifiability and Wikipedia:Original Research: if no one has ever used it, it's just a fan thing, and not used by the people playing the game. I'm not going to remove it, I just think we should either attempt to provide a reference to a place where it occurred, or put in a disclaimer that the strategy is rarely used by contestants, or something. -- stillnotelf has a talk page 17:50, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Janice's inspiration putt[edit]

You know why the ball "jumped in the hole"? Somebody literally drilled a hole into the ball, then put a magnet in it. In fact, the contestant won on that playing. AppleMacReporter 22:19, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah...on his second putt.
There goes your theory. -TPIRFanSteve 16:54, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Was Hole in One played first?[edit]

There are some rumors that, if hole in one was played first, Bob will enter from the audience, since the setup blocks door 2. 66.153.65.169 02:13, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Following a taping...[edit]

Was the golf bag offered as a prize in the episode referred to in the current article also embroidered TPIR? Is there any factual evidence or way to confirm that the bag/clubs offered are in fact the same ones now used for the game? On its first appearance, Carey specifically said that the bag was made special for the show... it sounded like he meant for the game.

I would also suggest that the Tasha Brown paragraph under 'inspiration putt' be moved and integrated into the history section by someone who knows more about the actual sequence of events (the insp. putt section implys the putter was integrated in the SAME episode the prize was offered; the history section implys/implied that it was FOLLOWING that taping.
