The network is picking up steam; it might be time to switch it to the city/station/channel/owner grid view most other diginets have. Nate (chatter) 08:19, 1 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hercules and Xena reference

[edit]

Why have a reference to two programs that are no longer on the network? And why fixate on these two shows when just recently Early Edition, Beastmaster and The Guardian came and went? Encyclopedic would be comprehensive, not myopic. Dgabbard (talk) 17:40, 26 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Because, this is not an advertising page for the network, but an encyclopedia and is not stuck just covering current information - other wise WP should just shut down. You are the one fixating on the two shows that that they should not be in the article. There is a reference to the All Star Trek block and its shows. Plus it only indicates that the two Action Pack shows debut not that they are currently on the network. Your view is myopic, by indicating that it should only list current programming. The general rule for these classic networks are that programming that is mention in news articles can be list as a sample (and likely prominent) programming. If you have sources on those three shows then list them. Spshu (talk) 20:10, 26 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Listing the debut without indicating they have been taken off is incomplete. My simple solution is adding a sentence that they as of this year have been taken off. I also added to the Xena and Hercules entries references to their being carried on H&I. That ensures when in a few years the reference to these two former shows are deleted from the H&I entry (which I am sure will happen) where they aired will still be documented in the entries for the series. Many entries for shows list the various places a show has run over the years. Dgabbard (talk) 22:44, 26 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
