FLAG ICONS[edit]

All of the sudden, there has been this rush with people wanting to delete the flag icons of every single band tour page. It isn't overlinking, it makes the page look good instead of having to look at plain text. I've worked really hard on this page (I created it) and have been updating it with tour dates as much as I can. If there is a problem, is there a way to have flag icons without linking to a page?

First off, you do not WP:OWN this article, you have to work with other editors. Per your own assertion, "it makes the page look good instead of having to look at plain text.", the flagicons are simply decoration. The flagicons should not be used and country links should be used instead. The overlinking was for removing the second link to Los Angeles and nothing to do with the flagicons. I am going to leave a comment for Garion96 since he also removed the flagicons. Aspects (talk) 22:52, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Different titles for subsection headings[edit]

The manual of style MOS:HEAD touches on this a bit, but basically an article cannot have more than one section/subsection with the same heading title. If you click on "Tour dates" under the Australian tour in the table of contents, Wikipedia directs the reader to the first occurrence of "Tour dates" which in this case would be Japan's tour dates. I would recommend using either {{TOC limit}} to restrict the table of contents to only listing level 2 headers, or changing the tour date section titles to something more specific like "Leg one tour dates" or "Japanese tour dates," which ever seems more applicable. What happened???[edit]

This article as of November 19, 2010 was well supported by an abundance of sources, it contained relevant images and detailed prose, and it also detailed supporting acts directly next to the tour dates. This was replaced by a single behemoth of table that squeezed out the pictures and relevant writing. It also reduced the supporting acts to a footnote and only lists three sources that do not verify ALL of the tour dates. What happened??? Fezmar9 (talk) 22:43, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Based on your discussion here and no edit summaries for the removal of sources, etc., I reverted back to the fully sourced version back in February 2011. I was quickly reverted by User:Harro56 with an edit summary of "Please stop removing new format, made similar to Aspects format so the page will stop being reverted as it is removing new tour info and dates. Will finish references soon." On the basis of new tour info and dates being removed all of the sourced information was reverted and the edit summary was also incorrect because the format was not similar to mine. Since Harro56 said references were coming soon, I figured I would give him time. I only meant to give him a couple of months instead of this over a year time, but I forgot about this article. Harro56 did not end up adding references and his last edt was in June 2011. Seeing how the references were not provided and Harro56 seems to be retired, I am going to incorporate the previous sourced information and previous table format to some of the new information inserted by Harro56.
