Picture Change, please?[edit]

Oh my - could we get a less homoerotic image of Heero? I've noticed the other 'Wing character pages don't have as large an image (if they have an image at all). I'll get some good ones and replace them so the main characters, at least, have similar images - and to keep some kind of style.

This page had a picture? Oh wow! But it'd be great if we could get another one very very soon for Heero. Please. Because the page looks very incomplete without one. Clevomon 08:38 EST 2 October 2006

Sorry about that[edit]

I was the one that added the homosexual statement to the article, it was just a joke that I meant to change back after I showed someone. It didn't catch their attention and then I forgot about it.... Sorry about that. I'm just shocked that someone pays enough attention to an article I thought was otherwise ignored to change it that fast, I remembered and came to change it back only two days later just to find that it was already changed.... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.210.103.26 (talk) 03:50, 19 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

I think it should be mentioned that Heero might have a photographic memory. His ability to recall his entire speech can be seen as an example of this. While it could be argued that he made it all up on the spot, it seems fairly unlikley, whereas him having total recall seems plausable given his list of other skills. --NemFX 05:23, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi = One?[edit]

I'm not sure whether this assumption is right...

Heero Yuy (ヒイロ・ユイ, Hiiro Yui, derived from Japanese 一 hi, lit. "one")

Online dictionaries I have access to do not list "one" as meanings of "hi". [1][2] Moreover, both Moji and Romaji.org romanize "一" as "ichi", not "hi". Lastly, statements like "this name has been derived from this and that" should be the first one to be properly sourced. :) --Koveras  17:06, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ichi is the On'yomi reading, or the "Chinese" reading of the character "一". "Hi", one of the many Kun'yomi readings of the said character, can be inferred from Hitotsu 一つ "One piece" or Hitori一人 "One person".

Regardless to say, I once read that the name is a combination of the words One, Hero and Amuro Ray.--219.79.195.226 14:27, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Superhuman strength[edit]

I've been rewatching Wing recently, and in episode 19 (when staging a jailbreak for Duo), Heero bends bars open with his bare hands, prompting Duo to comment that "You really are superhuman, aren't you?" IIRC, Heero pulled a similar stunt several episodes earlier while defusing the bomb at the New Edwards Air Force base.

Is there anything in the extended cannon (manga, guidebooks, character books) etc to address this? Is Heero a mutant, a freak, or is is just insane conditioning from a very young age? He can bend bars with his bare hands. I feel like this should be mentioned in his bio somewhere. -Deriksmith 08:06, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
