Definition of mtDNA haplogroups
[edit]What is the definition of each of the mtDNA haplogroups? I.e. by which mutation it characterized? --Maruvkay
- here are a few numbers which I suppose label mutations. dab (ᛏ) 14:30, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
"L0 an offshoot"?
[edit]Is L0 an offshoot of the MRCA or L1? The sentence is confusing, though if it is descended from L1 it shouldn't be in its current position on the mtdna template. Nagelfar (talk) 15:22, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Although I'm not sure that we should be using a number picked out from the body of the source. I think in most cases we should use the summary for genetics articles. Doug Weller talk 10:24, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
