I have changed the introduction of this article to make it more detailed. To the following...

Fundacion Grupo Mayan is a non profit organization with the principal objective of promoting science and culture for the greater good. More specifically it has held two conferences bringing together an unprecedented high-level of politicians for one single event. Both events, the 2004 Buenos Aires and the 2007 Mexico City events were focused on improving the economy and bridging the economic income gap. Several renowned historians, economists, ex presidents, governors, and writers participated in these events, which were widely publicized in Latin America. [1]

Both events organized by this foundation were significant in Latin America. As noted in the articles and references, several ex presidents are involved in this foundation to promote economic equality.

There have only been two events organized but the press it received in Mexico and Argentina was very significant at the time. As Mexican individual living in Mexico, I was exposed to the 2007 event heavily. It was on the radio, on the news papers. Please check the published articles here. These are only a few. [1]

In addition a book was published by Francis Fukuyama. I put the ISB number as a foot note.

The events organized by this foundation, and Fundacion Mayan itself is a very well known foundation in Mexico, particularly known among public policy makers. It is not uncommon for them to attend these events. Pedro Ferriz de Con said on the radio that the Mexico City event was attended heavily by almost all senators, law makers, some state governors, and ex presidents in an unprecedented event. There has never been another event organized in Mexico with such an impressive attendance by politicians and scholars.

Every single reference is to the group's own site. Unless you can show notability under WP:CORP by means of reliable sources, the article will be deleted soon. Please also read WP:BFAQ. -- Alexf(talk) 17:10, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am familiar with this foundation and some of the professors and public figures that attended. I have added some more references from various sources related to this.Lauracampero (talk) 20:20, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Alexf, the groups site has a link to several pdfs that are scanned articles from newspapers at the time. It lists about 20 different newspapers, and has their scanned articles. I will see if there is a way to upload these pdfs individually to wikipedia as sources. I have also added links to other websites unrelated to the groups website. Please let me know if this is enough so you dont delete it. Otherwise I will keep adding sources. Delia Moran (talk) 20:26, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
