Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because... (The Speedy Deletion is unnecessary because There is no Mayor Kane in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knox_County,_Tennessee (Knox County,TN)

They call the Mayor of Knox County,TN Glenn Jacobs - https://www.knoxcounty.org/countymayor/)

The page that should be replaced is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kane_(wrestler), because there no Mayor Kane...only Mayor Glenn Jacobs the politician is within the constitution. The ending URL should not say /Kane_(wrestler) instead it should say Glenn Jacobs_(politician) The use of speedy deletion feature was also a excessive abuse of power to restrict others people suggestions similar to the consensus.--Colton Meltzer (talk) 22:03, 18 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Glenn Jacobs and Kane are the same person. I don't see how creating this page is useful. David O. Johnson (talk)
Oppose Deletion - is useful to get the name right...i mean if goto Knox County,TN Gov website and search Kane...will there be such existing person...nope....or if you ask one of the Glenn Jacobs office....nope...Only Glenn Jacobs exist in this case.

Duplicating an article's content is not the proper way to rename an article. We just had an unsuccessful requested move discussion at Talk:Kane (wrestler) a month ago. I don't know how long you should wait between requesting a move, but a month does seem pretty short. There was also the possibility of an article split, which you can continue to discuss at its talk page, possibly as a request for comment.
Having another look at the A10 speedy deletion criteria, plausible redirects should be redirected instead of deleted, so I'm going to apply that now. Prefall 06:27, 19 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Glenn Jacobs (politician)[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Glenn Jacobs (politician)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
