Glendale University

[edit]

Glendale is a target for the bigger schools, their faculty is great as is their admin staff. The level of education is wonderful. I worked hard to receive two degrees from Glendale so Whatever the case they are a good school. As far as US Department of Education if they are so worried about the Glendales of the world then why don't they run the Department and dictate because they don't want to take on that expense. They are making education as a club if you are in this club and US say okay then it is good but if you are in another club and the US says it is not okay then it is no good. Solution if the US wants to put their two cents worth in and condem certain schools then they need to fork over the money and take on running the United States Schools period end of story, until then don't judge what goes on in schools until they know.

Glendale University Is Awsome!

[edit]

I just graduated this year from Glendale and enjoyed every moment of it. I am now working at a very large company making the bucks. Those individuals that keep downing Glendale are crazy they have helped me so much and yes they are accredited. Like others have stated accreditation is not a requirment of the US many good schools are either accredited by someone other than the big money accrediting inst. Glendale has been around since 1997 over 10 years and is here to stay. Go Glendale!!!!!!

Glendale University Is Accredited

[edit]

THE AUTHOR OF NEGATIVITY WANTS EVERYONE TO BELIEVE THAT GLENDALE UNIVERSIY IS NOT ACCREDITED BUT LATER YOU WILL SEE THEY ARE INDEED ACCREDITED. ANOTHER BIG ISSUE IS THAT THE U.S. DOES NOT CONTROL EDUCATION IN THE U.S. SOME OF THE BEST SCHOOLS MAY NOT BE ACCREDITED BY ONE OF THE TOP DOLLAR ACCREDITING ORGANIZATIONS BUT THAT DOES NOT MAKE THEM A BAD SCHOOL. IF YOU RESEARCH THERE ARE SEVERAL TOP NOTCH SCHOOL THAT DO NOT HOLD THE ACCREDITATION THAT IS VIEWED BY MANY COMMONERS AS ACCEPTABALE. SO MY FRIENDS ONCE AGAIN WE HAVE A CASE OF THE MEDIA AND HUMAN NATURE TO FIND THE NEGATIVE IN ALL SITUATIONS RATHER THAN THE POSITIVE. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.140.49.9 (talk) 17:39, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

GLENNDALE OR GLENDALE UNIVERSITY (SOMEONE NEEDS TO GET IT STRAIGHT)

[edit]

I TRULY BELIEVE ANYONE CAN WRITE ANYTHING THAT IS NOT PROFF READ, YOU MUST GET THE FACTS STRAIGHT ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE IS MORE THAN ONE GLENDALE UNIVERSITY AND YOU OBVIOUSLY USED THE WRONG SCHOOL. PEOPLE REALLY NEED TO PROFF THEIR WORK. GLENNDALE OR GLENDALE GET IT RIGHT BEFORE YOU WRITE SUCH A DOGGING ARTICLE.

Wow, I really think this speaks for itself. bd2412 T 16:45, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Glendale University / Great School

[edit]

Is a University growing by leaps, the programs are great I was 54 years old and worked for a company for 30 years they closed. Glendale helped me configure all of the college classes I took along the way combined with the work experience and make something of myself with a degree. Today I landed another job thanks to Glendale University and their great program. Many individuals put Glendale down but don't listen to them they don't know what they are talking about. As far as being accredited by the NDLAC pull up the list of schools that are a part of the NDLAC, and tell me that they are not top notch. I would not hesitate to seek a degree from Glendale great school great people great tuition. Got me a 54 year old not knowing where he was going after 30 years at the same company a Management position making more than my old company. Thank You the faculty and staff of Glendale University for your integrity. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.220.202.34 (talk) 15:54, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Glendale University Ding by Wikipedia

[edit]

So far I have found Wikipedia a good source as an encyclopedia until I started running into specific blogging or smear type of publication tactics that really has put Wikipedia in a negative context in my view. It appears that Wikipedia is being used to smear or belittle entities such as Glendale University and other Life Experience Colleges as well... posted in this Wikipedia.

I read the Glendale University site and the Wikipedia description and find that Wikipedia is not being discriminative enough on what it is posting. To me Glendale University simply accommodates Life Experience Degree programs that is accredited by NDLAC which utilizes work experience and past education where traditional Colleges don't. I think that Traditional Colleges are trying to down play Life Experience Degrees via the Wikipedia site and at the same time promoting on campus and traditional Degrees. This is of a concern, is Wikipedia an encyclopedia or a smear, blog promotional site. I think these kinds of issues should be posted in another forum and not part of an encyclopedia site and forum...going around disrupting other peoples or businesses websites is unprofessional in my opinion.

[edit]

Unfortunitly people write whatever, I am a graduate of Glendale University and I am here to tell you they are the greatest. I don't understand why Wikipedia lets smear campaigns go on in there forum. Oh well Glendale University is alive and well. Glendale has a great Alumi Association also......... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.220.217.151 (talk) 22:20, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Accreditation

[edit]

User talk:98.220.202.34 argues, "As far as being accredited by the NDLAC pull up the list of schools that are a part of the NDLAC, and tell me that they are not top notch. "
But the user has misread an important sentence in NDLAC's Mission Statement: The long, long list of the "top notch" schools (131 names alone from California) is headed NOT by "schools that are a part of the NDLAC", as he says, but by The following schools meet the minimum requirements and standards of the N.D.L.A.C, which is definitely an altogether different thing! -
The requirements of this National Distance Learning Accreditation Council can't be extremely stiff considering the Council's own spelling standard ("..to ensure it's growing acceptance...").

And how come you find just 4 (four!) schools with links in that huge list - i.e., apart from Glendale University one

Also see Suffield University in Wikipedia. --Orlady (talk) 18:39, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notability and Dissolution

[edit]

The website for Glendale University as of May 2015 is parked/for sale. Even if it were still in operation, it does not appear more notable than any of the many other schools/diploma mills listed in List of unaccredited institutions of higher education. The NYTimes mention is brief, and there is no other significant RS coverage. Barring objections in the next few days, I plan to redirect this article to the aforementioned list.Dialectric (talk) 21:12, 23 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
