Is she Canadian?

[edit]

Is Gladys Powers Canadian? The sources I can find cite he as British (she was definitly British in WWI). However she seems to have (depending on sources) either meet her Canadian Husband in 1920 (and presumably moved to Canada thereafter) or moved to Canda in 1920. The question is - Is she now classes as Candadian or British? -- Rehnn83 Talk 10:28, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Very good question: who knows this? Extremely sexy 11:36, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
For the "Centenarians" category, anyhow, the consensus seems to be that the category goes to whatever country they turned 100 in, which was definitely Canada. Not sure about the rest. Cheers, CP 21:12, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment

[edit]

I have assessed this as a Stub, as it only contains the basic information on the topic, and of low importance, as I do not feel that many people outside of Canada would be familiar with the subject of the article. Extremely sexy 21:01, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WAAF?

[edit]

Can I just query the assertion that she served in the WAAF before the WRAF? Our articles say that the WRAF existed 1918-1920, but the WAAF article says it was created in 1939. Was there some other organisation called the WAAF, in which case we need disambiguation? Or else we need corrections to other articles. -- Arwel (talk) 18:31, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good question, the ordering given here dates back to the initial revision fo the article, the one reference supplied seems to eb 404ing now which makes it a bit difficult to sort out wehre the info came from. David Underdown (talk) 15:38, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
