Since Robotnik is just the outdated american name for eggman, what are the real names of the rest of the eggman family?

I thought Robotnik was the last name of the Eggman family! --anon Thanks to SA and SA2, we and japan people know that Robotnik is Eggman's Family name, but everybody calls eggman Eggman. So, Gerald Robotniks real name is Gerald Robotnik. --Ac1983fan 22:24, 21 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gerald was mentioned in Sonic Battle but there is no information in this articleRobotonic 12:33, 18 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why isn't Sonic Team consistent? Wasn't their original last name "Kintobor", but Ivo decided to change his because he turned evil or something? Clorox 02:49, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, the comics have nothing to do with the Games. Dr Ivo "Eggman" Robonik has always been Evil, He as always had the same name, he has always looked the same, he has never conquered Earth and Mobius doesn't exist. Sonic Team also had nohing to do with anything not realted to the games, but their games have lot of plotholes anyway lol. --172.188.157.13 10:37, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In the Japanese dialogue to Sonic Adventure 2, Dr. Ivo Robotnik refers to Dr. Gerald Robotnik as "Jerarudo Robottonikku". (Stefan2 06:23, 7 October 2006 (UTC))[reply]

I also put this on the Sonic character discussion page: There is no evidence that Gerald was ever on Angel Island to see the Super Sonic mural to base Shadow's design on. Though there was already some knowlege about the Enchidna culture that Gerald could have looked at to create the 2nd Shrine (obviously since Sonic knew the myth of the so called "Floating Island" himself before going there) and there was artifacts in Mystic Ruins (Eggman found those stone tablets remember, so Gerald could have easily dug something up on the Shrine and Chaos - though Chaos was more a god to the Chao than the Enchidnas and it could even have been possible that scientific investigation of the Emeralds alone could have yielded the design of the shrine as the most efficent way to draw power from the stones). Also, if the writers intended for Shadow to be based off of a mural of Super Sonic in this way, then it would have been more apparent in the story (the gold colored blurs Shadow makes when spinning and such are more likely because of his air shoes and the fact that black blurs would look weird or not be very visible in dark areas). The speculation that Gerald did see the mural on Angel Island and created Shadow in Super Sonic's image seems to be pure fan speculation because of the lack of evidence that isn't circumstancial and should be deleted.
