Just a note for everyone, this page is very much under construction. On a good note, I will be giving a phone call to my great aunt June, who is Carlson's eldest of two daughters. My gran, the younger daughter Alice, passed away when I was only 7, and I am her only living grandchild. (I once had a younger sister.) June had several children and has many grandchildren, but they all live in California so I hardly know them, sadly. But I'll call Aunt June and interview her, record the interview, and provide a transcript with downloadable MP3 (or at least I plan to.) --Wonderlandalli (talk) 22:56, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dec24 07 I am going through a variety of memoribilia at my mom and dad's home in Houston today, and forgot to log in before typing up and adding George's obituary. I didn't even know the "Crypt" time capsule exsisted. I wish the obituary had more information on when he was born, and when he was in the either navy or army (I think its Navy) for World War 1, which is I beleive when the gap in his artist timeline is. I have a war diary he wrote in very small handwriting, which he didn't keep up with for very long, that I'm going to read over tonight. Now I know who in the family I must get it from, always leaving the last 1/6th or so of journals and sketchbooks empty. I wish Mom had a scanner so I could scan and upload some of these letters he wrote to my dad and uncle when they were little boys, they're covered in drawings and lend a great insight to Mr. Carlson's personality. --Wonderlandalli (talk) 21:25, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I've had to redact the obituary, copyright issues preclude us from using that material "as is", except in much much smaller bites. --j⚛e deckertalk 06:04, 1 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, what happened to the memorabilia you had there and the mp3s? Those can be used. Did you have anything to do with the book on Carlson that came out a few years ago? --Bluejay Young (talk) 17:47, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
