Bodyline??

[edit]

Frank Thring played Harris in the Australian TV series Bodyline: It's Just Not Cricket. This article ought to contain a reference to this; however, not knowing anything of how factual this portrayal was and what Harris' role actually was in the Bodyline saga, I do not feel capable of writing it myself. I will look into the matter and encourage anyone who knows the relevant details to incorporate them into the article.

Harris died in 1932, just before the Bodyline series. Thus his involvement was only peripheral. The TV series was entertaining, but not to be taken seriously as history, with most of the leading English participants portrayed on the edge of caricature.
That and Thring was also far too fat to play Harris. The idea that he was one of Bodyline's greatest supporters, unconscious of the damaging effect that it was having on the game, is absolute moonshine. Still, it is worth a mention -- even if only for that. Cheers, Robertson-Glasgow 10:21, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It should not be in the article at all as it amounts to WP:TRIVIA. ---BlackJack | talk page 08:42, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The series was the most disgraceful anti-English propaganda by whingeing Aussies.
