Article ignores other forms of genetically modified Canola

[edit]

Self explanatory, the article completely fails to mention other forms of GM canola such as DHA canola, which has omega 3 producing genes from algae added.

RfC language

[edit]

I intend to revert this edit, which had reverted my restoration of content that was not the subject of the RfC. Objections? --David Tornheim (talk) 10:39, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Probably best to leave things as is for now given the ongoing discussion at Coffee's talk page. Simply because some parts of the edited text where not part of the direct RfC result/DS is not a reason for reverting (and I've refrained from re-reverting that even with that reasoning in hand). Is there a reason why the text should be there? It appears redundant with the overall scientific consensus statement language with the mention of case-by-case and regulation that we would mention twice if it were restored. Especially since this is WP:LEDE content where we avoid redundancy and just keep a concise summary, it would seem to be a better fit in the body of an article if there are other nuances to include from the sources. It's not in the WP:LEDE. --David Tornheim (talk) 13:55, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You're referring to this edit correct? The controversy section is a WP:SUMMARY of the controversies article where we generally follow the lede format of the parent article in a relatively short summary manner. Kingofaces43 (talk) 14:02, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
