This article needs a major rewrite[edit]

This article is written with a complete disregard for the fact that Mr. Finkel's claims to being the sole survivor of Custer's Last Stand are not universally accepted by historians. It needs to be rewritten to incorporate that. —KuyaBriBriTalk 21:38, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the {{disputed}} tag from the article. I agree that it should have been added when it was, but am disappointed that the user who added it did not help to improve the article, not even by discussing it on this talk page. At any rate, I believe it no longer applies, as I have completely rewritten the article to say that Mr. Finkel's claim is not universally accepted by historians. —KuyaBriBriTalk 15:57, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A search of the milirary records show there was a Sgt. George August Finkle, clerck, Co.C Born 1844 Berlin Germany, died at the Little Big Horn. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryttar (talkcontribs) 08:34, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
