Issues[edit]

@TenPoundHammer: Please forgive me. Starting review. AmericanAir88 (talk) 22:44, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • The opening sentence[Forest....(Exit 39)] needs to be broken up as it contains too much info for one sentence.
  • ^Same as above for the second sentence[Opened...opening], also needs a better sentence starter
  • "such as Kohl's, Burlington Coat Factory, and Bass Pro Shops, and another renovation ensued in the first decade of the 21st century when Mills Corporation renamed the property to Cincinnati Mills." - Split the sentences.
  • Better sentence starter instead of "Renamed"
  • Improve the last sentence, also research if "Babies R Us" closed due to the recent bankruptcy.
  • "LJ Hooker announced Forest Fair Mall's development in 1986." Any more info? Where it was announced? Its a poor starter to an important section.
  • A ton of newspaper refs are subscription needed.
  • The last sentence of the history section is a mess. Consider dividing it up or reworking it grammatically.
  • The sentence[At opening....food court] has grammar mistakes and improper use of the "comma/and".
  • The sentence[Opening soon....Saver] could be combined but needs to be in correct comma format.
  • Does the entertainment complex have a name? If so insert it.
    • Done to here. I added a little more information on the beginning of the history, and copy-edited as indicated. Will work on the rest throughout the day.
    • @AmericanAir88:
  • Elaborate more on the liquidation
    • Working on this. Done.
  • "Madison Marquette became the mall's leasing agent." Expand, this is a poor ending sentence.
    • Removed. Couldn't find anything else about Madison Marquette's involvement.
  • The sentence[Also...expanded] needs to be expanded and reworked.
    • Done.
  • What new retail developments were constructed at the I-275 interchange?
  • Elaborate more on the Gator purchase.
    • Done.
  • You do not need to say "Now known as Burlington" you can just say Burlington.
    • The chain was still known as "Burlington Coat Factory" when the store opened, and was not renamed to "Burlington" until after the store closed. What would be the best way to fix this?
      • Keep it as before but take out (Now known as Burlington)
  • The last paragraph of "1990s: The Shops at Forest Fair and redevelopment" seems to just list tenets. This is unencyclopedic and should contain more details.
    • Fixed.
  • The last sentence of "2002–07: Cincinnati Mills" needs expansion. Otherwise, well done on this section.
    • Will work on everything from "Madison Marquette became the mall's leasing agent" to here. Done.
  • Nothing went on with Simon Property?
    • Not to my knowledge. I checked the newspaper archive extensively, and Simon seems to have done nothing with the mall while they owned it.
  • Go into detail on the closings
    • Will work on. I wasn't able to find much on the closings of stores in this timespan. I didn't even know Guitar Center had closed until I saw an article mention "former Guitar Center".
  • I said this above but make sure for the last section that Babies R Us is still open.
    • There is no hard word on Babies "R" Us closing this store or any other.
  • Anything recently happen with the Cristian media company?
  • This page would benefit with a "See Also" section. This could have other malls that have similar stories to this one.
    • I added LJ Hooker and Richland Mall (South Carolina) as a "See also". I might have found enough sources to write an article on Middletown Station, a mall Hooker built in Louisville around the same time.
  • I will address these issues today or tomorrow. Kind of tired after work. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 23:53, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@TenPoundHammer: Thank you, could you remove the note asking for a new reviewer? Thanks. AmericanAir88 (talk) 02:07, 15 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Issues 2nd Review[edit]

  • The "See Also" section goes above references
    •  Done
  • The last sentence of "History" should be expanded and include the names of the tenets instead of "respectably" and "former"
    •  Done
  • Just name it "Burlington Coat Factory" since it was taken down before its name change you do not need to say "Now known as Burlington"
    •  Done
  • The photos need "alts" (Put in alt= and type a broad description of the photo); This is in case of photos not working.
    • I tried this and the alts aren't showing up. Can you figure out what I did wrong? @AmericanAir88:
  • Anything new happen in late 2017/early 2018? Anything with the Cristian Media company?
    • No news since this point.
