propose to delete

[edit]

I propose to delete this stub on escape reflex, because the term is unusual, non-descript and it is not sourced;

A comparable and proper term would be "escape response" or "flight response", which has presence in the science literature, and is used in biological terminology.

What's missing on wikipedia,and what I was looking for is a page on "defensive response" or "withdrawal response" in the sense of "withdrawal-related motor response". I've seen it also described as "defensive reactivity" in scientific articles of human behavior.

As of now, the term withdrawal response on wikipedia is always connected with the completed unrelated term "withrdrawal syndrome".

Lastly, the somewhat analogous term "defensive behavior" has presence on wikipedia in the poorly sourced Gibb Categories page which seems to be a transcript of a commercial seminar, unfortunately. I say unfortunately, because the term defensive behavior is so commonly used in society, that it would be good to have a proper wikipedia article on it.--Wuerzele (talk) 20:44, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
