"En" dashes, not hyphens?

Were "en" dashes deliberately used to "hyphenate" this term (I must say that figuratively, LOL), rather than hyphens? Is it some sort of engineering custom I don't know about? Okay, I live in a small town, but still. – AndyFielding (talk) 07:32, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
