Removed commentary and source for expansion.
[edit]The commentary on Hare's example about future events and preferences for their occurring is very confused and it is uncited. It is also off topic. I have removed it but will put it back if someone can cite where Hare suggests that the example is illustrating what is claimed. Further, the page could be easily expanded by including more content from the paper, but I'm too lazy to do that.--74.72.183.190 (talk) 21:19, 19 May 2014 (UTC)gd
The Egg
[edit]If I'm correct, The Egg by Andy Weir invokes egocentric presentism in it's narrative, where are single sentient being experiences everyone's lives simultaneously in physical time, but sequentially according to ideal time. I believe it ultimately subverts egocentric presentism at the end by proposing there are sentient beings in the form of other gods, and it's just that this single god is the only sentient being in our world. With that being said, I think the fact it initially invokes egocentric presentism means it should be referenced on the page as one of the few examples in popular culture to invoke this metaphysical idea. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:A601:A927:1900:9147:8665:2BA8:2620 (talk) 21:15, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
