Talk:Edward J. Orton, Sr.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

His middle name is not listed in New International Encyclopedia, so he probably did not have a middle name. The List of President of the American Association for the Advancement of Science calls him "Edward Francis Orton," which is probably an error. I am creating the page Edward Orton because I have no information on his middle name. At some point in the future someone must determine his true name. I am submitting information from the New International Encyclopedia, so make of it what you will. His son is listed as Edward Orton, Jr, with no middle name. Edward J. Orton, Jr. is an article. I cannot verify the correctness of his name, either. Again, New International Encyclopedia does not contain a middle name for either man. Superslum 12:42, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
He is either Edward Orton, or Edward J. Orton, Sr., or Edward Francis Orton, so the first step is to identify his real name. Superslum 22:01, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
well, at minimum, "Sr." needs to identify this Edward Orton from his son, Edward J. Orton, Jr. Stuph 16:04, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
The Ohio State University [1] gives his name as Edward Francis Baxter Orton, Sr.. His son was Edward J. Orton -- what that stands for I don't know. olderwiser 14:26, 23 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
