The statement:

He is married and lives in London. Among his personal friends are Jamie Cullum,[1] Mike Bartlett and Robert Icke.

seems to me to be a personal detail, and even thoguh partly sourced, not highly relevant here. i would recommend that it stay out. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 23:36, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The statement

Many of Macmillan's major plays take as their central theme a contemporary socio-political issue: Lungs explores parenthood, People, Places and Things addiction and recovery, and Every Brilliant Thing considers the issue of suicidality.

Seems posisbly quite significant, but is currently unsourced analysis (aka original research). it should not be re-introduved without a supporting secondary source. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 23:38, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The quotes that were present in the "Philosophy" section appear to be accurate quotes. However, they seem to be selected from a great many potential quotes in several interviews, with no reasons given why these and not others were picked. That should be considered and discussed. Do these quotes really represent Macmillan 's "philosophy", or just random things he has said to interviewers. Also, when doing several block quotes interspersed with non-quoted text, making the attribution and quoted status of the quotes particularly clear is important. Block quotes should not be used for short quotes, say shorter than 1 1/2 lines in a desktop view. Use quote marks for those. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 23:52, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
