Merger proposal

Someone has proposed merging Duque de Goa (The Duke of Goa) into this one – fully support the proposal as it is an obvious duplication. Richard3120 (talk) 03:25, 16 October 2015 (UTC)

Noting merge in. Klbrain (talk) 21:43, 27 November 2017 (UTC)

Extinction?

According to the laws governing Portuguese nobility, if there are no male heirs then the title passes to the female heirs (unlike in Britain, where the title becomes extinct). Bras de Albuquerque had a daughter who married and had issue. Did the title pass to her and thus to her descendants? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.212.186.193 (talk) 17:31, 4 July 2012 (UTC)

My reading of Lei_Mental is that a male heir was required, at least until 1832. Klbrain (talk) 21:46, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
