Is this character really notable enough for an article? I can understand a character being notable partially on account of their design, but the Sorceress only received attention due to her design. This controversy can easily be added in a "Controversy" section in the main Dragon's Crown article, since that's pretty much all this article is. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 16:26, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I've still got some sources to implement, but it's a fair point. I'm away from home right now, so could you gimme a week+ to do the work and, failing the article not overcoming the issues, I'll be fine with merging. - Bryn (talk) (contributions) 17:21, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If she got mentioned for any other reason about her character besides her sexualization, then I wouldn't see a problem. However, literally all the critical comments appear to be either criticizing how large her breasts are, or defending the design, hence the problem with it being one-note. (There is also a problem with WP:SUSTAINED since all the articles about that appear to be from around the same time, rather than continuing discussion about the character). ZXCVBNM (TALK) 19:13, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't seen anything about the Sorceress besides press comments on her design. Even Kamitani hasn't talked about her that much except in the context of being surprised by the reaction from the Western press. I should know, I've been neck-deep in Vanillaware info during an expansion/rewrite of the company article. I don't think that article's notable enough to stand up. Plus, Dragon's Crown doesn't have much of a story, as per its design, so she doesn't have anything substantial in that regard either. In fact, pun and reference intended, there's an overlarge bias towards one part of her. And that can be covered by commentary in the main article. --ProtoDrake (talk) 22:36, 9 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Lead and infobox
Gameplay
  • I would suggest consistently using either "the player" or "players" - and since this game seems to have a multiplayer option, the latter might be preferable?
    •  Done
  • Dragon's Crown is two-dimensional (2D) side-scrolling action role-playing game video game, add "a"
    •  Done
  • Is "adventurer" used as a title / proper noun in the game? If so, that's fine, but if not, I'm not sure if it should be capitalized. I would also probably write "skill", "rune" and "stables" in lower case unless there is reason not to.
    •  Done
  • players move constantly from left to right battle both standard enemies, "battle" should be "battling".
    •  Done
  • During single-playing mode this should be single-player mode, correct?
    •  Done
  • I do not fully understand After returning to the town hub, the player must spend gold to appraise the item, which gives it an altered selling value. Altered compared to what? Compared to what it would sell for without appraising it? If an item can be sold without paying for appraisal, that means appraisal is not something you "must" do, right?
    •  Done
  • During gameplay runes, the player can activate Runes - what does "during gameplay runes" mean?
    •  Done
  • I'm not sure if "normal players" is the ideal way of phrasing this. I would probably say players of average skill level.
    •  Done
  • All female classes have a high luck statistic - which classes are female? I'm assuming at least the Amazon, Elf and Sorceress based on how you use she/her for the first two, but this is not made clear.
    •  Done
  • I am not sure if it's relevant to the gameplay section that the cross-platform play and Tower of Mages were added in updates - I would just say that the PS3, PS4 and Vita versions are compatible with each other, and that the Tower of Mages is unlocked on the ultimate difficulty setting.
    •  Done
  • I believe "player-versus-player" should be hyphenated here, as it is used as a compound modifier
    •  Done
  • Is Vivian a countess? I would avoid defining Vivian solely in relation to her brother, and reword to something like the next heirs, siblings Count Dean and Countess Vivian,
    • I rewrote the article so the titles don't have to come into it. It's barely relevant to the story anyway, so not a big loss.
  • Is "ancient dragon" a title or name? Otherwise, it should probably not be capitalized like that. Same with "goddesses".
    •  Done
  • Are the class-specific endings possible to briefly summarize? The way it is now, it feels kind of like a tease.
    • Did my best with these.
Development
  • internation audience - "international"
    •  Done
  • Not wanting the game to be cancelled, Kamitani went to Atlus, who had previously published Odin Sphere. - should mention that Odin Sphere was by the same developer, otherwise the reason for mentioning that game seems unclear
    •  Done
  • Do we know if the European pre-order artbook is the same as the "official artbook" from Atlus and Udon? (also, is the word "official" necessary? We do likely not have to disambiguate from any unofficial artbooks)
    • Doesn't specify.
Design
  • I believe the "ancient" in "ancient Egypt" should not be capitalized?
    • I've changed it.
  • During his earliest role-playing concept, - unclear if "his" refers to Kida or Kamitani.
    •  Done
  • There are a few illustrations by Frazetta available on Commons - if any of them seem suitable, it would be good to include one here. See Commons:Category:Illustrations by Frank Frazetta.
    • I had considered doing this, but since no examples of his art were given specifically, it didn't seem right.
  • Game design and visual design are separate concepts, so I feel kinda weird about combining the two under a single "design" heading - probably either change the heading (to what, I don't know) or split the visual design into its own section.
    • Reworked the article so this issue no longer arises.
  • one of the biggest issues faces "faced"
    •  Done
Reception
  • You are directly quoting Metacritic, so I am pretty sure that you should use their American English spelling "favorable" in the quote.
    •  Done
  • I don't really see the point in naming the individual MC scores in the text, since we also have the review score table. With all three versions being in the same "generally favorable", I would simply write something like Dragon's Crown received "generally favorable" reviews on all platforms, according to the review aggregator Metacritic
    •  Done
  • Might want to mention that Persona 4 Golden is from the same publisher, to make it clearer why we are comparing the two.
    •  Done
References and notes
  • Colin Moriarty, not "Colon"
    •  Done
  • The final item in that note is incorrectly followed by a comma
    •  Done

This may look like a lot, but most of these should be pretty minor fixes. I will put this on hold for a week, and will promote the article to GA if the issues are fixed/addressed by then.--AlexandraIDV 14:47, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Alexandra IDV: I've done my best to address or explain all the issues above. Hope it's adequate. --ProtoDrake (talk) 18:16, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@ProtoDrake: Thank you, I noticed you found some things that I had missed as well! I will go ahead and promote this now, good job~! --AlexandraIDV 07:22, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
