Other Influences?

[edit]

Don Ross gives special thanks to Michael Hedges in some of his liner notes (can't remember the CD; either Huron Street or Passion Sessions). He's not mentioned anywhere Don's bio on Wikipedia. Is there any connection between the two? Would be surprised if not, since they have similar styles. Curious. --Freddicus (talk) 19:28, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You're right, there should be. The song "Michael, Michael, Michael" on Passion Session is dedicated to him. I've got no access to the album's liner notes, but there are some other sources (e.g. Michael, Michael, Michael, digitalcitrus.com, Review of Robot Monster, amazon.com), alas none of them is really appropriate for citing as reference. So if you have Passion Session, look for the statement and add it to the article.--Jo (talk) 09:05, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed. (Finally!) I used a YouTube video on Don playing Aerial Boundaries as the reference.--Vybr8 (talk) 18:19, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent! Thank you! Freddicus (talk) 15:34, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Transcriptions

[edit]

Is there anywhere to get all of Don's transriptions? I am seriously enjoying both his and Michael Hedges work.

On his website [1] click the chord fingering symbol on the top right. You can get transcriptions and instructional videos. --Lee Hunter 20:00, 11 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
