I dont understand... It is an article about the logo of a television program not a group or person? Mrmccollough 19:11, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A whole article abotu the logo itself probably isn't needed; rather, information about the logo can certainly be aded to the main Doctor Who page. Wizardman 19:13, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

as suggested when trying to edit the page, the doctor who article is 8kb long, it suggest splitting it into smaller articles, so i have created it separatly, with due respect Mrmccollough 19:15, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone with copyright for Doctor who images, Logo Images are needed for this page...Mrmccollough 19:46, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thism page was added due to the high Kilobyte level on the main doctor wo page, please do not delete it, thank you for cooporating Mrmccollough 20:14, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

But there was nothing on the logo on the page, so it doesn't decrease the Kb. Other things could be split, but an article on the logo of one tv series is not encyclopedic. --OZOO (What?) 20:19, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

HOwever, the fact that the page is how the logo has changed through the ages, and as the page actually gives links to a page with a logo gallery, surely this is what constitiutes the page. There is no room on the dr who main page for an article about the logo, with due respect...Mrmccollough 20:21, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge / transwiki[edit]

The Afd closed as no consensus but it also could have closed as a merge or a transwiki. The merge was suggested to both Doctor Who and History of Doctor Who with the history article having substancial support, both of these options have size considerations. The alternative was to transwiki to TARDIS wiki, this was suggested late in the discussion and didnt obtain anything in response to the suggestion. Closing the AFD as no consensus has left the options open to be resolved by the editors of this article, a renomination could reasonably be expected in the future if issues raised in the afd arent addressed. No image = no article?[edit]

Seeing as Wikipolicy bans the use of images in this context, it rather renders this article useless, don't you think? 23skidoo (talk) 06:55, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I note also that there is now a Doctor Who Logo article on the TARDIS wiki ([1]). It was created on 20 Oct 2007, the day after discussion ended on this article. It is also much better written than this article, contains images for all logos and was created by Mrmccollough, who was the main apologist for this article. I would therefore support a proposal for deletion of this article. Perhaps to ensure consensus we could make sure there is a link on an appropriate wikipedia page. I suggest History of Doctor Who. (I would propose deletion myself, but haven't done such a thing before and might mess up.) Klippa (talk) 01:10, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
