My question is quite simple, I was wondering if Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor is a Doctor Who special episode and should therefore be referred to as "Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor", or is it an entirely separate entity, a spin-off if you like, and it should be referred to as Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor? More a thirty minute advert than anything is my guess. I suspect that come 8pm you can look back on it and summarise it as "The next actor to play The Doctor was publicly announced in a programme on BBC1 on 4 August 2013; it was simultaneously broadcast in .... I'd agree with GraemeLeggett (having actually seen it). A summary of some of the content of the program should be on the Twelfth Doctor article.
