Early Life

This sections seems to bee too scattered, could it be combines into one or two paragraphs?

@SecretName101 Are you going to continue with improving the article for the GA review or....?

Oh sorry. I did not realize that. But continuing the review, I think one-line paragraphs like "In 2022, Simpson retired as a professor and was named a professor emeritus." @SecretName101 Could "Simpson was born in 1940 in Houston, Texas. He was an only child. His first name is Dick, rather than "Dick" being a nickname for Richard, as it commonly is.
