Wikipedia standards for articles

To be included in Wikipedia, you must show that a company meets WP:CORP. All articles must meet WP:N, WP:RS and WP:V. Also, no original research is allowed per WP:OR. Check these policies out. If you provide this information via citing appropriate third-party, unbiased references from reputable sources, your article will not have a problem. Mattisse(talk) 13:35, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

  • Thanks for the information; I appreciate the help (I am clearly new to adding or editing Wikipedia articles). I will be adding more information about the company shortly, but here are some other various additional sources I will be using information from to build the page:

The document filed to the FTC before DialAmerica spoke before congress about the Do Not Call List: http://www.ftc.gov/os/comments/dncpapercomments/userfees/dam.pdf

Brief description of the support MADD has received from Dialamerica: http://www.madd.org/aboutus/1990

Article form KY with former employees alleging that DialAmerica encourages illegal activities: http://www.whas11.com/news/iteam/stories/WHAS11_TOP_DialAmerica.240b0d925.html

I will also look for more information, to make the article more complete and not an advertisement (not a goal of mine at all). I will go ahead and list these as external links. I believe this will (once I add the information, which will include controversy) that it will 1) no longer read like an advertisement and 2) will be able to be verified by other sources.

Please let me know if other holes need to be filled to meet Wiki guidelines.

added NPOV

I cleaned up a little added links to telemarketing, telephone and edited in NPOV Tomticker5 (talk) 14:24, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:DialAmericaMarketing logo.png

Image:DialAmericaMarketing logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Massive update

I went ahead and uploaded a new logo (with the explanation of fair use), added an infobox, added a reflist, and added a few misc. other things as well. I will be continuing to update not only the reflist, but also the other aspect of this article as I come across it. phoenixMourning (talk) 18:52, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

Minor update

I revised the opening sentences of the main paragraph to be a bit bolder. Also added an external link. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Editor B (talkcontribs) 03:55, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
