Title Change[edit]

The title implies that this is the only temple in the area. The tile it inappropriate and I will be (re)updating it shortly, so long as this talk discussion finds no reasonable objection.

This is specifically about a Mormon Temple and not about the only temple in Denver. It does not represent all temples and therefor the name should reflect its denomination. I understand it may feel upsetting to some people, but this uneasy feeling is cultural and not based on any legitimate slight. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

Please discuss if you think this article should be titled "Mormon Denver Colorado Temple" or "Denver Colorado Mormon Temple".

Obvoiusly, since I reversed the unilateral name change/page move done in good faith earlier, I would not be in favor of this change. This is the name of the structure. The particular religion its affiliated with is clearly identified in the lede sentence. It would not seem a reasonable reader would somehow assume this is the only temple of any sort within the greater Denver area. This title fits within article naming guidelines, including other articles of like name. If there were to be confusion, typically based upon similar naming - such as people that need to be distinguished from others with the same name - the opportunity to disambiguate the title always exists. Other more likely options are to create a category that captures places of worship that are considered temples in the greater Denver area. Another area that may tie in is whether all/some of the other temples (including those noted with the above comment) have WP articles about them - such as the Hindu Temple and Cultural Center of the Rockies - which also includes other Hindu temples in the area, since this article is for the major one. Finally, as with all WP guidelines, changes or moves such as these do come via consensus, rather than unilateral determination, so this talk page section is very appropriate for that purpose, so thanks to the good faith user who has initiated the discussion.
