Why does this link exist? When was communist-controlled Afghanistan officially named the "Democratic People's Republic of Afghanistan"? (24.205.83.199 (talk) 07:16, 15 December 2017 (UTC))

It was never the "Democratic People's Republic of Afghanistan", it was the "Democratic Republic of Afghanistan" from 1979 to 1987, which is why the "Democratic People's Republic of Afghanistan" page is a redirect to that article. Greyjoy ^talk 07:19, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
