This article has a few spots that need to be better referenced and seem to come from opinion rather than a source. For example, the lead section contains the following passage: "Unlike deafness, which is often used to describe deaf people only in terms of their hearing loss, Deafhood asserts being deaf has a positive value for humankind and does not need to be cured like a disease. Many other deaf people, like Ella Mae Lentz, have used this term to explain a deaf person's unique personal journey to discover and understand themselves as a deaf person." I believe that the first sentence of this passage needs a more concrete definition or source, and the second sentence (referencing Ella Mae Lentz) needs a reference to her or other deaf people defining Deafhood in this way.

There are also no citations at all in the section "Historical Views of Deafness." Also, if Paddy Ladd's book is copyrighted, the quote from his book may be an infringement which needs to be paraphrased and referenced instead. Sburkholder (talk) 18:40, 5 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
