Article totally outdated

[edit]

So the recce variant of the Mirage 2000 will not be ready until 2007? I'm reading the article in 2012, so this information is rather pointless don't you think? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.41.156.1 (talk) 13:13, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

range / radius

[edit]

I think the article makes the typical wikipedia error of mixing up range and radius. The"radius" figures offered are simply unreasonable and in conflict with other websites. example http://www.aerospaceweb.org/aircraft/bomber/mirage4/ "a combat radius of 1,700 miles at Mach 0.9" bullocks, that's range, not radius. range = up to 2 * radius (sometimes "range" is a raw figure, radius takes reserves into account) ""high-high-high" at a speed of Mach 1.85, engaging targets up to a maximum radius of 3,500 km (2,175 mi)" Again bullocks. Mach 1.85 was not the cruise speed, but rather the top speed with bomb and the 3,500 km may have been the range, but not the radius. Major repair required. Will put it on watch list and change it later if nobody intervenes. 23:41, 4 October 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lastdingo (talkcontribs)

The specifications are cited to a reliable source. What makes your source better than a published article by a well known author on modern military aviation published in a well established magazine?Nigel Ish (talk) 08:44, 5 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
