New info to be added

[edit]

New information to be added/edited to Salesa's bio:

After working at the University of Michigan for ten years including in roles as Director of the Asian Pacific Islander American Studies Program and as an Associate Professor in the History Department and Program in American Culture, Salesa joined the University of Auckland in 2012 as an Associate Professor of Pacific Studies. [1]

In 2014 Salesa was appointed Head of the Centre for Pacific Studies, and then from 2015 co-Head of School Te Wānanga o Waipapa (School of Māori Studies & Pacific Studies). [2][3]. From 2018 Salesa was appointed the university's first Pro Vice-Chancellor (Pacific). [4]

In November 2021 it was announced that Salesa would replace Derek McCormack as Vice Chancellor of Auckland University of Technology.[5] He is the first Pacific person to hold this role in any New Zealand university.

@Spil030: I've updated the bio with some of the info you've detailed above but I encourage you to expand what I've written with more info.--Gertrude206 (talk) 00:34, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
