The result of the move request was: Moved Dup to DUP (disambiguation); DUP will be a redirect to DUP (disambiguation). Discussions to turn DUP into a redirect to Democratic Unionist Party would need to held separately, informing Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Ireland Collaboration per a 2009 ArbCom decision because such a name change relates to Northern Ireland. Move to DUP (disambiguation). Agree that it doesn't make sense to have the dab page at "Dup" when most entries are "DUP", but I also think DUP should be a primary redirect to Democratic Unionist Party. There are a few too many pages which might have this abbreviation to run a complete page view analysis, but I would have thought the Northern Irish party satisfy the abbreviation primary topic criteria. — Amakuru (talk) 23:09, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Support move to DUP (disambiguation). Few readers intentionally seek a disambiguation page. Almost everyone would prefer to bypass it.
