I'm a volunteer for the DNA Doe Project. I made a number of edits to this article, and a friendly Wikipedian let me know on my talk page about the COI policies, so I've declared (above). I made a lot of edits to the page (in good faith) before being aware of the policy. If you find anything objectionable, feel free to edit. We are a small, non-profit, volunteer-based organization. None of us get paid for anything we do, including me (so please don't bite!). We just like to help reunite victims of violent crime with their families. Hello Wrad. I think this is a notable subject and, in my opinion, worthy of an article in Wikipedia. However, the Wikipedia guidelines WP:NYOT state: "Facebook is generally not acceptable as a reliable source, as anyone may create a page and add comments, and there is no stringent checking of a user's real name and age. On occasion, Facebook pages that are clearly marked as official pages for notable subjects, with direct link to those pages from official websites, in which case they may be used as primary sources..." This article uses a lot of Facebook references which should be replaced with better reliable sources. Please replace them. I suspect more reliable sources will gradually appear as the project achieves more successes and the news of this project spreads throughout the media. I will try to add one or two sources myself. As you yourself have identified above you are run the risk of violating Wikipedia guidelines on conflict of interest and neutrality. SylviaStanley (talk) 20:40, 21 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
