Creed's Chinese

Can anybody make out what Creed is saying (in "Dwight's Speech") when he allegedly speaks Chinese? It's something-something 中華的朋友,你好 in Mandarin (not Cantonese, which is what is spoken in Hong Kong). I would dispute the claim of semi-fluency. -- Raymondc0 18:59, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

Dunder Mifflin

I am going through several articles and changing instances of "Dunder-Mifflin" to "Dunder Mifflin" (no hyphen) as it is the proper "spelling" of the company name (see Talk page at Dunder Mifflin). Just leaving a note to say that I've gone through this page. :) Fieryrogue 20:22, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

This is definitely something that should be fought. Much of the content you describe is unencyclopedic. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information, and so we must only report where Creed has a real role in the series, not every time he says something. We must also be weary of drawing assumptions from what Creed has said, as that constitutes original research. Creed's dyed hair (episode DMInifinity)

I removed " with printer ink" from the statement that he died his hair because in the episode it wasn't clear exactly why the camera panned over to Creed when Michael made the statement about there not being any more ink for the printers. I took it as creed probably stole the ink cartridges to sell. Internet/Intranet

The edit war over that single word is getting silly. It goes back and forth and back and forth and back and forth. Ryan does not enunciate clearly, so different people hear it differently. I'm happy sticking with one. "Internet." Intranet doesn't make any sense, and while I agree that he doesn't enunciate clearly, Ryan's character isn't a moron. Barring a look at the shooting script, I'm going to assume that the scriptwriter wasn't one either. Agreed. I still don't see any support "intranet" on this talk page, so I'm changing it back to "internet". How could anyone think he's saying "internet?" He's obviously saying "intranet." Absolutely no question about it, context aside, it's easily heard. In fact, I find it hard to believe anyone can confuse it with "Internet." If anything, it should be said that it is arguable what he was saying. Dave Lopo (talk) 22:44, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Even with context in consideration, it just seems off for him to say internet, as it means he essentially says it twice. He says that he is "protecting the world" (here meaning the internet) from Creed's thoughts by just making it a Word document on his desktop. He then goes on to say "even for the intranet, it's pretty shocking." Even the first time I watched it I was sure he said intranet, not internet - Ryan is saying that even for a closed network thus meaning nobody will see it (thanks to his own effort), "it's pretty shocking." Also (this is a minor observation), the fact that he says it's supports this, too - he is saying that it is pretty shocking for the said network, not would be: which should be the case if he was referring to the internet, because it is not on the internet.--Nitruix (talk) 16:28, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

"Of course I've been to prison. That's where I got the name Creed"

The article stated that in episode 9 of season 3, "The Convict", Creed says "Of course I've been to prison. That's where I got the name Creed". I've watched the episode through twice, and he never says this. The quote is also no where on the internet, or in scripts of the show. I'm moving this to talk, though, instead of outright deleting it, because I believe that some of it may be relevant and should be incorporated into the article. Too old to be a former hippie

Honestly I think Creed is too old to be a former hippie. If the real actor's age is anything to go by (b. 1943), he would have turned 18 in 1961, which was a VERY conservative era. He would have gone through college in this era, and been in his mid 20s by the time the hippie era started. Sure, he could have changed his views at this point, but chances are he'd already be out in the workforce and would be seen as "square" and old by the younger hippie generation. Omaha Beach
