Much as I dislike Mr Chope, and all his works, the following remark "On 10 February 2009 he called for the minimum wage to be abolished, whilst claiming £136,992 in expenses in 2007/2008." is transparently not NPOV. Unless you can point to some public announcement in which Mr Chope declared that his opposition to the minimum wage was in some way related to what he claimed on expenses then the juxtaposition of the two is to make a political point so the effect 'Mr Chope is stealing from poor people while lining his pocket at the same time'. One might say that, of course, but it would hardly be considered a 'neutral' statement. This comment precedes an edit to similar effect. --Faboba (talk) 09:59, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

If he gained his LLB in 1970, that makes him a Dundee rather than a St. Andrew's man. In fact, three of his four years at the institution will have been under the auspices of the University of Dundee. Any objections?FrFintonStack (talk) 14:19, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

Just for the record: "More recently, the bill to issue Turing with a posthumous statutory pardon gained significant government support in July. The bill has benefited from widespread support and passed decisively through the House of Lords last month.
