Excellent start! View your page's history to see the one edit I made. Beyond that, I wonder if there's anything you can do to distinguish the specifics of Singaporeans' celebrations in the prose? (Even though many of your sources are Singapore specific.) Otherwise Wikipedians might push back and say this is not sufficiently novel. In any case, you have my okay to move your draft to mainspace. -Reagle (talk) 17:37, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Alexis! Overall, this is a well-crafted article that includes very concise, relevant, and informative content on Chinese New Year customs in Singapore. I love that you have included media images, as well! I appreciate how you addressed various customs within the celebration without adding too many unnecessary details. I think there are many opportunities for you to link your article with many related articles on Chinese New Year as it is a huge celebration among various Asian cultures.

After reading your article, I question the nuanced differences between CNY celebrated in China and Singapore. Is there a huge difference? What makes the celebration unique to Singapore? Also, could you add more information regarding "Ancestor worship" and "Chinese New Year Eve vigil"? I also wonder if Singapore has a tradition of wearing new clothes on the first day of Chinese New Year as this is a popular tradition for Chinese people! Finally, I think it would be great to add more context about the legend of Nian and why it is important to the holiday. - Jinnyjin123 (talk) 01:20, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
